History Established in 2006, Jeff and Sandy Lutton have been dog lovers all of their life. But with busy work schedules and the desire to have a dog to match their active lifestyle, Sandy is a marathoner and Jeff is a triathlete, they didn't think it would be fair to leave a dog, let alone a retriever, at home all day alone. When a friend referred them to Dogtopia's dog day care, they decided it was the answer to their doggie dilemma. Soon after, they brought home their long-awaited dog, a Golden Retriever, Josie. After watching Josie's excitement when attending dog daycare at a Dogtopia location in Tyson's Corner, VA for several years, they found she'd sniffed out an ideal franchise opportunity for Mom and Dad; one that combines their business savvy, as well as their love for dogs. Meet the Manager: Josie L. Hi, my name is Josie. I'm a Golden Retriever who works/plays at Dogtopia of Alexandria Dog Daycare and Boarding facility. My Dad is the owner and I'm the VP of DR (Vice President of Dog Resources). My job is to interview all dogs that want to come here to play. I make sure that they are well socialized and to assign them into one of our playgroups. Dogtopia of Alexandria is a fantastic place for dogs to run, play and be happy during the day while parents are working.
